Riviera X11

The X-11 started life as a late night conversation with my friend Marcy...  One of those "what if" discussions that we soon realized had to be built. X11 cleans up and blends all the best design aspects of the 63-65 Riviera and adds the fast back top look which Rivieras went to in 66. A concept car that didn't exist but should have, is what we were going for.

finished 1963 Buick Riviera X11 concept car

Built by Rivercity speed and custom in Spokane Wa, it features a fastback top treatment, filled flat hood, hidden wipers, shaved quarters, hand made grills and tail lights and many more subtle body tricks. It rolls on custom made 8 lug wheels/GM 8 lug finned drum/disc covers and is powered by a 425 nail head . In 2014 it won designers choice at the prestigious Detroit eyes on design concourse show, where it was invited and displayed next to a restored '63.

When first debuting the car extra effort was spent creating a full (but phony) back story for the car which included fake clay models and fake GM studio photos.
